Warning against fake internet recruiters

The Philippine Overseas Employment Administration has recently put out a warning for Filipinos who are searching for jobs on the internet. There have been reports recently about fake jobs in the United Kingdom that are being offered online.

According the the POEA, the Philippine Embassy in London has released information that there are a number of Filipino OFWs who have been victimized by illegal recruiters. Job offers are sent via email to Filipinos interested in working abroad. They are then asked to send money as payment for work permits and other travel documents.

One of the agencies named by the POEA that has victimized some OFWs is the Global Logistics and Trading Shipping Co. Ltd., an unlicensed UK Company.
